Last night was a great small group. As I have mentioned before, the Truth Project poses some fantastic insight, and points out stark differences between the world view, and the Biblical world view. This lesson was part one of two on the theory of Darwin.
Romans 1:18-20 talks about how God has made it plain to them.... that everything points to the Glory of God and the work of His hands.
Something else that struck me was how so many Mathematicians, Physicists, and Biologists do NOT recognize evolution/Darwinism as a real science at all. They believe in intelligent design, even if they do not claim Christ or God. It was an episode that I am going to have to watch again to really absorb it.
We also got to celebrate some great news regarding a prayer request for a friend of ours! So awesome!!! :)
Today promised to be a beautiful day with lots of sunshine, and it delivered!
I can never sleep in. Anything past 7:00, and I feel the day is wasted! So I got up, made some yummy cinnamon rolls, had my coffee and quiet time, putzed around, saw Jim off to work (taxes), gathered the recycling and dropped that off in town, came home and rounded the kids up and headed to the Gilmore's.
Steve and I took a nice walk/hike down the road and around a part of their 35 acres that I had never explored. It felt so good to work hard, and it was great spending time with Steve.
On our way home, Jim called and suggested we take a drive to Gunnison (it's over Monarch Pass, about an hour away). It was a lovely day for a drive in the mountains! We had steak for dinner which was such a treat, and now we are home and the kids are bathing and getting ready for bed.
What a great day for me! The only thing missing was a good book and a nap....
I am looking forward to tomorrow, and all the things we have the opportunity to do.
Hope your weekend is great too!
