Airebella

The weekend that I thought would never end - did!  Whew!!
It is getting to that time of year when Spring Break is in sight,  the air is warming, there is more daylight, sloppy snows, hockey tournaments, college hoops and the brackets, birthdays (at our house), spring fever, green plants / grass (such as it is), and dance recitals, !
This weekend - we had what one would call a musical, cuz it had singing, along with dancing and acting.  Sarah was a part of this production.  Everyone put in a lot of time and energy, and I think it went off really well!  Sarah did a Great!!! job, and it was so fun to watch her!  I'm glad it's over though......  She has a couple more things she gets to perform in this month, but not so intense.  I think she is looking forward to taking the summer off, though she really loves it.

Rebekah finished off her basketball "season" which consisted of roughly 8 weeks of practice and about 6 games.  She really had a good time, and is already looking to find places where she can practice.  Soccer will be starting up in April, and she can hardly stand the wait.

My Dad is in process of recovering from back surgery.  In layman's terms, he had a squished nerve causing him bucco amounts of pain.  He is sore, and the pain med. has decreased his appetite, which has made him tired etc.  He is at home though, and that has to help with the comfort level!  Hockey tourney is right around the corner - so I know he will be looking to feel better by then!

Jeremy and his wife Kim had the difficult task of burying her father this week.  Please keep Kim and her family in your prayers.  They rejoice in knowing he is in the presence of Christ, but mourn for his absence with them.
Other little notables:
  • Jim and I are looking forward to the Jeremy Riddle concert  (he sings Sweetly Broken) here in Salida this Thursday PM.  There is a big group from our church going and we are anxious for some outstanding worship!
  • Jim is playing some pickup basketball at the high school.  He says it feels good!
  • I have been out moving rocks again.  No, they are not decorative, or landscaping rocks - just rocks.  About six years ago when Steve and Donna moved here, Donna would visit with me on the phone, and she would mention that she had been out moving rocks around.  I laughed!  GET A LIFE.  Well, I now know what she is taking about.  They grow here.  I have no yard - it is dirt and rocks.  So, because of the nice weather, I am out moving rocks and "weeding."  There are a lot of stickery bush type weeds that have shallow roots that I take my metal rake to and let them blow away.  Tumble weeds...  Did I mention it has been windy?  The wind sure helped me with my "weeding" yesterday!
I think that's it for this week.  The Truth Project is Awesome!  Get your hands on it if you can!
Will update again!

Romans 12:2

Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.  Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.
