Great Update!

It has been a great month here in beautiful CO! I am going to start with our small groups, and the Truth Project. What a great!!!!! study! I have a hard time putting into words the way I have been challenged.
Here are some of the questions being asked: Do you really believe that what you believe is really real? What is truth? Why did Christ come? Who is God? What is Evil?
These are not light weight questions. How would you answer them? Would love to hear!
We have had great discussions, and my spiritual eyes have been opened (again) to what life is really about. Him!

The last three weeks our church has also been getting ready for a Valentines Day party that we sponsered as an outreach. Jim did an outstanding job in putting this together! We called it "Chocolate Covered Comedy" and we rented a really nice venue in town called the Steamplant. Jim lined up a comedian that was a Christian, so his show was clean, and very funny. We had two yummy desserts as well as a chocolate fountain, with lots of dippers and of course coffee!!!! There was a quiz with prizes as to the top love songs of all time, and even some dancing at the end of the evening. The only problem - too many people!!!! Cool huh? We had about 170+ folks. God really blessed the event.
Jim did a good job at emceeing, but I was too dressed up to be in the kitchen all night! Oh well...... It was great! Jim has the pictures on his computer, so I will update the photos next time I get on that system.

Things at home are plugging along. Jim is busy doing taxes for Jackson-Hewitt until April, and then - who knows??? It has worked out well. On some of his down time, he is able to work on church stuff as well as taxes. He is still able to make meetings, lunches, and Rebekah's basketball practice, youth group and small group.
The girls and I are still working hard at school. They are doing well, and we are getting into some fun history, math and science. I'm telling you - school the second time around is really fun!

As I mentioned - Bekah is playing basketball - and scored her first points (4!) last week. She really hustles, and follows directions. She is having a good time, and likes to practice dribbling in the garage. Maybe this summer we will get some concrete out here at the house......
Sarah is getting ready for the musical she is in at the end of the month. Lots of commitment! I am anxious to see it all put together.
I am "playing" volleyball. I have enjoyed getting to know the ladies who play, but I am not improving my play at all. It's a good thing for me right now though. I've been asked to play some co-ed starting this spring. We'll see.
I am still involved in a ladies study on Thursday afternoons. I am so amazed at all that goes on in everyday life for others. It has been difficult to see the burdens of some of the ladies I know. I do count it a blessing to suffer with them, to be able to pray for them, and encourage them. I just wish it didn't have to happen. They are amazing to me!

The Valentines event got me listening to "old" music - stuff from when I was in high school and college. That was a really long time ago!!!!!! I am amazed that the ol' mind can remember such (worthless) things!!!
Finally - a little news to pass on: The Jackson's are coming for Spring Break. We have lots of room, and would love your company too!
And, for those of you who know my friend Desiree - she is engaged!!! Kevin is a wonderful guy, and they are both (rightly so) excited!

Continued blessings to all of you. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and follow what is going on with us! We'd love to hear from you!

Romans 12:2

Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.  Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.
