It started on Friday, when the girls and I, along with Donna and her kids, went to Mt. Princeton Hot Springs (you can check it out online). It's about 20 minutes away, in Chalk Cliff Canyon. We spent the day outside - in the pools, and in the river. We ate lunch - in our swimsuits - outside! JANUARY 16!!! I even got a sunburn, as I lay in the hot river water, with my eyes closed, listening to the river babble by! How cool is that???
Friday PM we had a great small group meeting. It is good to be meeting and discussing how to be disciples of Christ. The Truth Project starts this week. Please be praying for Jim as he will be leading (possibly two groups) in this great study.
Saturday, I worked in the "yard" and putzed in the garage. Again - the sun was shining and I was able to work without a jacket! The family then went for a hike up in the "hills" around our house. It felt good to be outside. Later that evening we watched the girls favorite - Lawrence Welk (brings back happy memories for them) and had dinner just kicking back.
Today was a great day at church, and we ended the weekend with dinner at friends.
The only thing that would have made it better would have been skiing!!! Oh well!!
Hope your weekend was refreshing, and tomorrow brings warm sunshine, and good friends to visit with!
Thinking about all our friends who are putting up with the bitter cold! We'll get some of that too I'm sure.
Blessings to all.
Nancy
