Happy Year

I am amazed to be saying this but, tomorrow we celebrate the one year anniversary of our official move to CO.  We left in the dark, in the snow, with our sweet neighbor Cheryl waving goodbye! It was a difficult day on the 11th, saying our goodbyes with hugs and tears.
Here we are a year later, changed and transformed on the inside. (as well as the out - dry skin!)
God has done amazing things.
He has provided for our physical needs (often through the generous gifts of many of you), emotional needs and our spiritual growth.
We send a big "Thank you" to all who support us through their financial sacrifice, gifts (of all kinds), and prayers.  You have truly helped us more than you can ever know.
We loved living with Steve, Donna and his family.  Six months went so fast (at least for us). Our home is sturdy (a good thing in this wind), and has provided us a wonderful place to live and share our lives.
Emotionally speaking - we are doing very well!  Jim and I have often marveled at how God softened our transition here through our girls.  Sarah and Rebekah have been great models of how to trust.  They trust God will take care of us.  They have made good friends, and although they have sweet memories of friends in MN, they have embraced this adventure!
I am glad to say that emotionally I am healing.  God has been gentle, and has brought women into my life that challenge me, and also need me as much as I need them. I have been able to reconnect with friends of my youth (I mean real youth) and that has been wonderful!!!
My memories of friends are also sweet, and am so thankful that they are such a part of who I am.
Jim - no problem.... :)  He is enjoying the time he spends with us at home, my brother Steve, and with the different guys from church.  He's busy, and enjoying it!

Spiritually, things are awesome.  It is so neat to be a part of what is happening here.  I thank God everyday for what we get to do.  Jim has brought so much to what he does.  He and Kyle are a very good balance of each other.  With the new Mac computer, Jim is able to download cool videos, and different backgrounds for lyrics.  He did The Truth Project training in October through Focus on the Family, and we are going to be going through that as a church body starting in two weeks.
Jim has found a part time job!  He is going to help prepare taxes for Jackson-Hewitt.  Currently he is going through some training, and learning the ropes.  We are very thankful!
God has really stretched me this year, but as I read the scriptures, I am comforted in knowing that being refined is a process that will make me more like who I am supposed to be.  That's the goal!  I am content, and thankful.

We would love to hear what you are currently reading, what your spiritual temperature is, and how you have see God working.  You can contact us through this blog, or you can join us on Facebook, or come see us!!!!!!  However you choose to do it - let us know!
Blessings this week!

Romans 12:2

Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.  Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.
