That was Fun!

It is still appropriate to wish you a Merry Christmas isn't it?
Wanted to update you on what went on for us Christmas Eve.
First off - we have been having a delightful visit with my folks this week. Family is so important to us, and they have really blessed us by being here!
Christmas Eve was busy!!! Jim left the house around 1:00 to set up for service. It was a labor of love... He and another woman spent a couple hours transforming the lunchroom into a beautiful Christmas(y) place of worship! They have both worked so hard at that for the last month!

Jim wasn't able to come home before service (with people coming at 4:00 to rehearse), so I brought him his clothes, and he changed at school.
The kids performed a drama of the book You Are Special by Max Lucado. They did a great job and really added to the worship service. We have been spending about 1 1/2 hours each Sunday after church rehearsing it for the last three weeks, and it was fun to see them do so well.

The service also included a live Nativity of Mary and Joseph and a little angel with a real baby as Jesus (who did awesome and slept through the whole thing!), a choir, Christmas caroles, and a great message. There were lots of visitors. Many were family from out of town, some were from other churches in town who came to support the kids, and some were different families who came just to check us out.

After service was over - we had to clean up..... Another hour or so, and we were finally able to head home for pizza and gifts with the Gilmores. Jim was BEAT, but very satisfied.
He has been getting ready for this Sunday since yesterday. He has done a really good job and his admin skills, and personality has been quite an asset to HRCC.
It has been a great Christmas season for us and our "new" church family. Together, we have made some great memories.
Hope you did too. Thanks for checking in!
Have a safe New Year.
(Will update pictures when I get them downloaded)

Romans 12:2

Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.  Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.
