We had so much fun last night! Our small group went Christmas caroling! We spent about an hour at the Salida nursing home. Could have spent a lot more time there, as the folks were so receptive and we enjoyed our time with them! Some of the notes weren't perfect (actually, some were so bad they made us laugh!), but we had a ball sharing the joy of Christ! We went to the hospital, but had to stand in a lobby of sorts. Saw no one! Being the spontaneous group we are, we went to some homes of folks that we knew would enjoy our efforts, and really enjoyed ourselves! It was like being a kid again, running through the streets, trying to be quiet so you wouldn't get caught.... It was very fun! We finished the evening off at our house with hot chocolate, cider and cookies! I have really enjoyed opening our home as often as we do. It's not always as "ready for company" as I would like, but it really is a great set up for what we do. I am grateful for it!
Have I mentioned lately that winter has arrived in the mountains? Oh baby! Has it ever! The wind is outrageous! Though I love the mountains, I would welcome warm sunshine! MX always looks god this time of year.
Hope everyone is staying warm. Enjoy the break from the usual routine!
