Ho Ho Ho!

Merry Christmas!  What a wonderful greeting!  We wait so long to say it - though we don't want to rush it....  I have tried to make it a point to share this greeting with everyone I meet!

We are in full Christmas swing!  The cookies have been made (and eaten), the snow has fallen, the presents purchased /made (kind of....), smells of pine fill the house, and the twinkling lights are so pretty against the deep night colors!
Most importantly - our hearts have been prepared!  We celebrate Christ, because he came so far to meet us.  The way God chose to go about saving us is mind boggling.  His timing, His methods, the people he picked to be a part of it all.  My heart swells knowing that I (you) was in his thoughts.  I (you) was the reason Christ volunteered to give up his life - so that I could truly live.

Making this move to CO has presented challenges for me that I was not fully prepared for.  By saying "Yes" to this adventure, I have found I need God more than ever.  I have recognized my need for him in new ways.
With Jim's MN job ending as of Friday - I cling to Him again.  I trust him and his provisions for me and my family.  Believe me - I am not just saying this as a cliche' - I really have to trust him. What are my choices?  I do this willingly because I know my Father knows the plans he has for me........
God has been faithful, and no doubt he will continue.  Maybe my knees will need to hit the floor more (feel free to hit the floor for us too :) ), but that seems to be where the peace and contentment are found.

So, Merry Christmas!  We miss our friends and family in MN!  We thank you for supporting us and loving us.  We thank you for taking an interest in this adventure and following Gods promptings.
We have grown to love Salida.  The people here, the church, and the mountains!
We are so aware that God's ways are not our ways.  I hope you will be in awe of Him this Christmas!
Rejoice - Emmanuel!

Romans 12:2

Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.  Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.
