This is the first year in many, that I have not spent seeing those colors. I miss them....
But I have to share with you how amazing it is watching the mountains turn GOLD! The aspens and cottonwoods are all changing, and you can almost see it happening! There are large gold patches on these mighty hills that seem to spread before your eyes! It is wonderful to be here!
Last Sunday we had a great time trap shooting with our church and lots of other folks who were invited to the event! I have never shot a twenty gauge shotgun before, and it was really fun!
If you have never done a shoot before - you basically shoot 25 times with the clay pigeon being launched from different angles.
Jim beat my score with 18 hits, and no, he's never done it either.
My high was six. It was fun to try - though my shoulder was sore Sunday PM! I'd like to do that again! Maybe I will ask for a gun for Christmas!!!
We also started our small group study last Friday evening. We are doing a That the World May Know series; In the Dust of the Rabbi. It was great! Lots of good, authentic discussion.
I am so glad to be a part of this group, and I know Jim is too.
My folks were here all last week. It was SO great! So many can relate to how wonderful it is to see family - especially your mom and dad, when it's been so long! We had a lot of fun! Did some four wheeling, walking, lots of visiting and just enjoyed each other. My brother was off all week, and Jim tagged along when he could. The weather was perfect - high 70's! I sure am enjoying the prolonged warmth!
My folks should be pulling into their driveway today sometime. I can't see them again too soon!
I have added some fall pictures - beautiful!!
Next week we are headed to AZ to return the four wheelers to Jim and Ginny, and to enjoy a nice visit with them! Will update soon!
Hope all is well. Let us know when you are planning a visit!!
