Friends

This week has brought a mixed bag of emotions for me.  Have cried a lot again, but have been reminded over and over that friendship is such a sweet comfort.  Something that has become so obvious to me is how many others suffer with loss of various kinds.  How amazing is our God, that he knows each of our sorrows and works those things for our individual transformation.  He gives us amazing people to walk with us.  Truly, nothing is too difficult for him.  To each of you who has shared with us your thoughts, sadness, memories, tears, laughter, homes, food, hugs, reminding us of Truth, notes, time, selves and ecouragemen -  Thank You!  I can't imagine going through any trial without the support of friends.  Jim and I, have just been blown away!!!  Makes me smile just thinking about it!      Jim is back to doing taxes this week.  He and a friend, got the temporary office at Wal Mart all set up.  He is so thankful for such a great group of people to work with this year.  He is expecting things to go much smoother, and far more professional than last year.
When he is not doing taxes, he is doing church "stuff".  He is gone almost every night of the week with worship practice, Bible Studies and youth group.  Saturday and Sunday seems to be our days that we spend together - even if it's stacking wood (which is really fun to do with a good group of friends, and the right equipment!), running to the dump - whatever.  He is happy here.  Sarah once said that Jim smiled a lot in Woodbury, but in CO, he laughs!  I know that he has some anxiety about our future.  Not knowing what God is going to do can be taxing, physically and emotionally.  Pray that God would do big things here and would allow us to be a part of it!
We started school this week, and have slowly gotten back into some sort of rhythm.  Started Bible study again with a sweet group of ladies, and it was good to laugh and cry with them.  We are going to do the Esther series by Beth Moore, and can't wait to dig into that!  Been listening to James McDonald - Walk in the Word (free on podcast) in the mornings, and have been rolling a comment of his around in my head.  "Our God is not a pampering God, but a perfecting God."  His ways are not our ways, but he is always for me(and you!)
     Have a great weekend!

Romans 12:2

Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.  Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.
