MN Visitors!

My Mother in Law told me the other day that it has been a month since my last blog - it's hard to believe that!
What has been going on with us for the last month??
Jim has been a busy man with his egg job and the church. He seems happy to have the option to go into town and work - or head upstairs.... Both are great commutes!
We did a little more sheet rocking in the garage the other day. Jim is going to build some shelves.... We are also going to get a pellet stove delivered in the next couple weeks - so he is also building a base for that.
I have been busy with lots of things - though it's hard to pinpoint exactly what they've been! I had fun making a porch swing with some scrap wood. Jim's only involvement was putting it up for me. I often start a project, and then I need help to finish it - but not this time!
Today I stated painting the garage door. It was hard to leave it undone - half our garage is brown, half is white. It looks cheap only half done! Is that a little anal??

Church news: We started going though a Discipleship study by Greg Ogden. It has challenged my view of what a successful church is / should be. With a start up church - I have been focusing on "numbers". I've had to rethink my approach and consider that a group of 3-4 folks studing the Word of God and encouraging and challenging each other is indeed a wonderful church - IF - they go and do the same for others..... It created an "aha" moment for me realizing that God may have a much more intimate plan at this point for Heart of the Rockies.
I still think that the church will continue to grow - but I'm appreciative of God's plan now.

Kind of a funny note - Aw you know, Jim is willing to do whatever is needing to be done for church - and now he helping to lead worship..... I don't think he was expecting that!
No solos - yet!

Family News: My brother Bill and his family came for a visit this last week. We had a great time of visiting, hiking, kayaking, four wheeling, and relaxing. It's amazing how much my nieces have grown! Two are taller than I am (and you know how huge I am!). It was great to see them all - I sure loved having them here!
Jim's folks are due out next month, hopefully my folks will be coming out too.
The girls are doing great. We will be starting school again in September - Salida schools start in two weeks!!! Yikes! They did a soccer camp together and learned a bunch!! The coach is very experienced, and extremely no-nonscense! It was great! Dance will start up in September for Sarah, and I will be playing volleyball on Wed nights. Not sure what to expect with that. Will let you know!
We are loving the Olympics!! Oh to be young, tall, disciplined, and extremely talented!! USA!

I am posting on a different computer tonight - so I don't have any pictures. I will put them up next time (I won't wait a month to do it either!).
Continue to challenge your own faith. How big is your God? What do you want him to do - in you, though you, and for you?? We would love to hear your thoughts on that!!

Blessings to you all! We miss you and think of you SO often!
Nancy

You'd have to check your blog to see that I have emailed you. So with that said - what is your new phone number?!

Romans 12:2

Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.  Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.
