June Already???

Let me begin by saying I will post pictures this weekend. I am having trouble with the computer being too slow. I am going to go to a high speed place and take care of it!
Is it just me - or does it not seem like June yet? Maybe it's the weather here in the mountains - windy.... I know I have mentioned that before - but it's very true. The locals can't remember a time when the wind has blown so much! I have missed the hot weather - but it sounds like lots of people all over are missing the hot weather!
Anyway - We have had lots going on....
BIRTHDAYS - The girls and I have each turned another year older in the last couple months. I think they are wearing it much better than I am... Sarah is now 11, Rebekah is 9 - and I'm old enough to know not to share that....
SOLD - It's a done deal. Our MN home is no longer ours - nor is the mortgage! We are grateful for God's timing. As usual - I have mixed feelings.... what's new?? I hope that the folks who bought our house will love it and our neighbors as much as we have!
CLOSING - Our CO house is gettin close to done! Today we got carpet, the wood floors have been in, the counters are to be installed on Saturday, the plumber and electrician come and finish up their work early next week, and, oh yeah - we stuccoed the whole house (first layer) Monday - Wednesday of this week. It's been hard work, and we have been so appreciative of all the help we have received!! I'm not looking forward to doing it again next week - but it's the color coat, and supposedly, it goes much faster. We'll see. We think we will close in two weeks.
MN - A wonderful time visiting and packing our stuff. Aside from the flu bug hitting all (except me), the two plus weeks went very well. Toby, Dave, Rich, Bill - thanks so much for moving us! Without the brawn, and the strategic packing, we would have been in a real mess! I loved visiting my parents, seeing my brother and his family, and spending some quality time with friends. Thanks to everyone who stopped by - you made our leaving that much more difficult, and we love you for it. It's so nice to cared about.
HRCC - June is a busy month - lots of stuff happening. This weekend there is a festival in town celebrating the Arkansas River. Lots of races on the river, parade, carnival, food, etc. HRCC is going to have a church service at the park this Sunday - so that should be fun. In a couple weeks - our new house will truly get broken in, while we have 10 high school students stay with us. There is a youth group coming in from Indiana to do service projects throughout the city. Kyle and Jim have been setting up the projects, as well as places for the 50 kids to stay. Jim is really looking forward to these outreach events. It will be great to see how Salida responds! I have really seen God at work, and Jim is doing a great job!! The church continues to grow up (not only in numbers, but in disciples, and friends. We are blessed by the folks there!

That's all I've got for now - look for pictures this weekend sometime. I've got some good ones! I'll pray for sunshine for all, and less wind here!
Nancy

Romans 12:2

Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.  Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.
