This past week has been an incredible blessing. Pastor Kyle and Mike Smith (who is a leader at HRCC, our builder, and is quickly becoming a great friend) have been praying for a man named Aaron from Salida for a considerable amount of time. The past several weeks for Aaron have been very difficult. To make a long story very short, after realizing he had made a lot of mistakes in his life Aaron decided to dedicated his life to Christ.
Thursday night is men's bible study and it was a night I will not soon forget! There were 9 men there from a lot of different stages in life. Aaron was there. Aaron is incredibly authenic. He shared his story in great detail, and I was in awe of his wisdom, peace and joy. Other men in the group shared some other very difficult but real things happening in their lives. The prayer time was powerful. These guys are just a fun group of men, who are not only very open and honest, but motivated to do what God leads them to do in their life. My prayer is that these men will continue to bond and become the strong backbone of HRCC.
I would like you all to pray for Aaron. I talked to Aaron again today, and I think a new friendship is starting. Pray that he will continue to seek God's will for his life. Also please pray for his wife Jen, and two kids (6&8 years of age). Please pray for God to unite this family in ways they have not experienced before.
I am so grateful that I was able to witness all that went on this week. God has called some very good people to HRCC, and I am excited to be a part of that team! Thank you so much for helping us be here "For such a Time as this"!
(On a side note: today I was helping with the construction on our house and a herd of approximately 30 Elk ran by! It was awesome. You have to come visit!)

Romans 12:2
Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.

Lots of melting snow today (Monday). It will be 40 degrees. We better get out and enjoy it while we can as tomorrow it will be 12 and then 3 on Wednesday (with lows down to -15). I just returned from a 3 day trip to Chicago. Awesome! Nice to be home with family again. We're still praying for your house to sell quickly (then we can see you again when you come back for all of your stuff!).
